Elect Frank Bailey for City Council
Welcome to the official campaign website of Frank Bailey. Your dedicated advocate for a thriving community, nature conservation, and ethical fiscal responsibility.

The Platform
Parksville is a beautiful place and we need to protect it. Mass development and rezoning are threatening our waterways, straining our infrastructure, and reducing the quality of life for its residents. We must advocate for sustainable growth. The time to act is now.

Water Supply
With there being less snowpack each year and mass development coming online, our water supply needs to be taken seriously and secured for future generations. Investing in additional ways to store water is my primary concern.

No to mass development
A major part of Parksville's economy comes from tourism. People are attracted to our beautiful parks, beaches, and small-town feel. Frank will vote no on rezoning and mass development and make sure to protect Parksville's small-town feel.

Sustainability
A sustainable future is crucial for our city's prosperity. We cannot continue to keep putting the cart before the horse and expect things to evolve in a positive direction. As our Official Community Plan is in need of updating, Frank will focus on initiating eco-friendly initiatives and enhancing needed infrastructure like our water storage systems, and supportive housing options like Dayhomes Society. This all requires community feedback and Frank encourages you to reach out and share your thoughts, concerns, and ideas.

About Frank Bailey
Frank Bailey grew up on Tugboat Island, located just off the coast of Gabriola Island. Inspired by his father, he became passionate about nature and conservation. Frank moved to Parksville in 2017. You may have encountered Frank through his time spent as a board member with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Vancouver Island, serving the community as a volunteer firefighter with Parksville Fire Rescue, encouraging youth as a youth leader at the Parksville Fellowship Baptist Church, being on the local fundraising committee for the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock, or through his volunteering at the Parksville Food Truck Festival. Recently, Frank moved to Nanaimo to assist his father, but he still runs and operates his business in Parksville. Frank remains committed to serving the Parksville community, and he hopes to relocate back to it if elected.
As a local business owner and paramedic, Frank has seen how overdevelopment and unsustainable growth are impacting our community, healthcare, and natural resources. We cannot continue to put the cart before the horse and expect things to keep operating smoothly.
Tourism is a major part of our economy, and protecting our beaches, waterways, and green spaces is paramount for us to continue to attract people to our beautiful city and maintain that small-town feel.
Frank will take a firm stance to ensure that rezoning and development respect and align with our Official Community Plan, ensuring Parksville can be a place of abundance and prosperity for all who work, live, and call Parksville home. Together, we can unite our community, protect nature, and keep Parksville beautiful.
